Community Engagement

Tulane Law School and the Tulane Center for Sport are proud to have partnered with many excellent organizations, both locally and nationally, to serve through sport.  We are constantly seeking out opportunities to teach sports law and use sport to ignite curiosity in young people for sports careers, particularly in underserved communities.  Explore just some of our initiatives below.

MLB Youth Academy

The Tulane Center for Sport serves as an educational partner for MLBYA, creating and teaching an innovative sports law curriculum for middle and high school-age Academy students to inspire interest in off-field executive careers in baseball.

The Starting Block

The Tulane Center for Sport is the lead educational partner for this innovative program designed to build impactful relationships between multicultural and multifaith communities in Greater New Orleans through the lens of practical learning and career building in sports.  The Tulane Center for Sport builds the curriculum, teaches sports classes, and coordinates instruction with the program’s other partners.

Tulane Special Olympics

Prof. Gabe Feldman serves as Director of Special Olympics in New Orleans and advisor to Tulane Special Olympics, one of the most active student organizations on campus and ranked by ESPN as a national Top 5 Special Olympics Program in 2021.
