Tulane Sports Law Resume Books
The Tulane Sports Law Program is excited to launch a new program to help you build your sports career- the Tulane Sports Law Resume Books.
The concept is simple: Resume Books provide prospective employers with access to resumes of Tulane Sports Law students who are seeking a sports law job or internship. We have many employers from the sports industry reach out to us on a regular basis asking for recommendations for qualified Tulane student/alum applicants. The Resume Books will allow us to better connect employers with our students and alum.
Each “Book” consists of a separate sports industry category, e.g. Pro Team Front Office, In-House Counsel, and Sports Agencies. CDO and/or the Sports Law Program will provide the resumes in each Book to employers soliciting candidates in those respective industry categories. In other words, if an employer from an NFL team solicits candidates for an in-house legal role, we’ll provide that employer a packet of resumes that meet their request from the In-House Counsel book.
Other important details:
-
-
- You are limited to submitting into a maximum of two books at a time. If you believe special circumstances merit your entering into more than 2, please contact us.
- You may not be notified each time your resume is submitted to an employer.
- You need only submit a resume- if an employer requests additional information, they or we may follow up with you.
- The Resume Books will remain active for 2 years, after which you will need to re-submit your resume.
- You’re free to remove your resume from any book, select a different book, or to update your resume at any time.
-
The entire system is set up on CRIS, and there you will find a complete listing of all the Books, with descriptive examples of the type of roles that may be included in each Book. Just type “Resume Book” into the Keyword Search bar and you’ll pull up all Books available to first-year and second-year law students seeking sports law internships.
Please feel free to contact Dean Beary or Eric Blevins with questions. We hope this new initiative is helpful as you work towards that dream job in sports!
